This 3 scene play is an adaptation on Stone Soup. It was created for an "End of the Year" play for a special education classroom, but can be performed any time of the year. The simple “script” consists of short dialogue allowing easier memorization. The play is written so that students are able to watch and listen for verbal cues and hand gestures from the narrator.
Speaking Parts: 5 (other characters can easily be added)
Non-Speaking Parts: Can easily be added
Play Duration: 20 minutes
I had great success with this play. The short dialogue was wonderful for easy memorization and the Narrator's lines include eye contact and hand gestures to cue children when it is their turn to speak.
Included is a list of characters; color coded full script; visual diagram for suggestions on setting up stage or classroom; list of props; and "Hint and Idea".
