The S.T.O.P. acronym is a student-centered instrument to empower students to find solutions as they contend with perceived social conflicts with peers. This tool can be made into a flip chart, poster, or another visual representation to foster problem-solving within an inclusive classroom setting.
Each part of the featured letter is accompanied by a procedure (if you would like to obtain the teacher script, please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org). As a coordinator for my Character Counts School Wide Positive Behavior Committee, this has been implemented across most school settings and within my classroom. There have been many powerful results.
