You and your classmates will Open a Summer Camp. In this Project Based Learning unit, you will plan activities for an overnight summer camp for children. Decide on the theme of the camp and age of the campers. Will your camp focus on sports, music, art, horseback riding, etc.? Children attending camps, go to learn, make friends, and have fun. You want to be creative in planning your camp activities so your campers will have a memorable experience. During the activities your campers will learn to work together as a team, develop skills, confidence when participating, and self-esteem. You’ll plan indoor activities such as art, music, crafts, etc. and outdoor activities which go with your theme. Activities include tolerance, growth mindset, and cooperative learning.

Teachers, activities in this unit can be presented in small groups and individually. There's opportunity for differentiation.

This Open a Summer Camp PBL unit incorporates 21st Century skills with challenging, engaging, and creative activities.
