The Peter Pan Story Reading Comprehension Activities and Projects Chapter 2 is the second of six chapters in a thematic unit plan based on the shortest vesion of The Peter Pan Story. It was designed to provide students with practice using reading strategies needed for success on standardized exams. This unit is directly aligned with the Common Core ELA standards and Engage New York's third grade curriculum.
Chapter two utilizes The Peter Pan Story to review the basic elements of a character and types of characters. It includes both informational and literary text. The package engages students and provides them with small bits and pieces of information needed to write on their own.
The unit can be used with small groups or given to individual students as homework or classroom projects. It is also Ideal for homeschooling because all reading activities do not follow traditional methodologies, are well documented and can be turned into lap books or other creative projects.
