SUMMER JOURNAL • GRADES 3–5
A FREEBIE for YOU!
June will mark the one-year anniversary of my TpT store, Pizzazz Learning. Special thanks to my loyal followers and to all of you who purchased my products and sent in such fantastic comments and feedback! To those of you who are visiting Pizzazz Learning for the first time – welcome! This FREEBIE is for all of you! Enjoy!
The Summer Journal is a booklet to reproduce and send home with your students to complete over the summer months. The Summer Journal is a great end-of-the-year gift from you that will become a family keepsake and be a reminder of one special summer for your students. The journal pages look awesome in full color but also reproduce great in grayscale.
Here are the FUN journal pages kids will complete:
• Awesome Summer Firsts for Me
• A Summer Diamonte Poem
• A Postcard to a Friend
• Places I Went–Things I Saw
• Summer Superlatives
• Numbers Galore
• The Endless Summer Ends
• Autographs from Summer Folks
Before stapling the booklets together, ask students to design and color original covers for their Summer Journal. They can paint a cover using watercolors, draw with magic markers or crayons, or use colored pencils. For students who don’t like to draw, suggest reusing pictures from old magazines and making a collage for their cover. Let imaginations soar!
Have a fantastic summer!
