This FREEBIE is part of the resource End of the Year SUMMER FUN Writing Prompts (PreK-1)
That resource is NO PREP and contains 10 different fun writing prompts for summer. Each prompt has 4 choices for a total of 40 pages, to allow for differentiation for your emergent and beginning writers!
Choice #1: includes 5 labeled word prompts
Students color, cut and paste the word picture of their choice. Then they trace the dotted sentence, plus print their word choice.
Choice #2: includes the same 5 labeled word prompts
This is more open-ended. Students can use any of the word choices to write a story.
Choice #3: no labeled word prompts
This is the most open-ended of the writing choices. It would be used with your more capable students. Students write a story about the main character shown on the page. Super versatile! Great for centers or guided and independent writing!
Choice #4: Sentence Scramble
This can be used with struggling writers, or as a way to introduce some of the vocabulary before beginning the actual writing activity.
