Directions
This is the first sequencing motor task. It will be necessary to help students understand what is meant by sequencing. Demonstrations will be critical. Students will be asked to sequence the gallop, hop, and jump. The walk and run can be used to help connect locomotor patterns and as a beginning and ending pattern. The walk should be used less and less as students refine their sequences. Running steps, if used, should be for brief steps.

The unit has the following sections:
•A clearly defined motor task objective
•Planning
•Student Performance Rubric
•Summative Assessment
•Learning Sequence – Task Extensions
•Teaching Cues
•Formative Assessment
•How to integrate all PE Standards into the learning experience
