Product Description
The overhand throw is one of the basic game skills in which all students must become competent during elementary school. Teach directly for the overhand throw in this motor task. This motor task focuses on the L position as the starting position for the overhand throw. Students should stop throwing from the L position once they demonstrate they can make a mature throw from that position. The focus in this motor task is more on the mechanics of the overhand throw and not on accuracy.

When purchasing a unit plan, it is recommended to download the free How To Use The Motor Task Units.

The unit has the following sections:
A clearly defined motor task objective
Student Performance Rubric
Summative Assessment
Learning Sequence – Task Extensions
Teaching Cues
