I've been using syllables and pace boards for many of my speech therapy sessions. These boards have helped me show my students how to breaking words into syllables to practice producing, reading, and blending the sounds into words. Especially helpful for my kids diagnosed with Childhood Apraxia of Speech.
I have also been able to use them to work on phonological awareness skills, by having my students point to which syllable has a certain consonant sound. My students have found these visuals handy, and most importantly, less embarrassing, as some are 9-11 years old still working on learning to read rather than reading to learn
I added ones with a few graphics that can also serve as a reinforcement chart!
I hope you find these as useful as I have for the past couple of years.
