With these two fun Texas themed math learning activities, students will have the opportunity to move around the room and work closely with their peers to practice computation skills.
In Saddle Up for Subtraction, students move around the room in search for subtraction picture cards to record on their answer sheets. Saddle Up for Subtraction is very similar to most Write the Room activities, and requires students to search for letters of the alphabet on each card. Students will write equations to match the images they found on each card.
Saddle Up for Addition reinforces a child's understanding of reading graphs and allows them to use that knowledge to complete addition equations.
Each activity can be used as whole group, or as an individual learning center activity.
