Child abuse prevention is perhaps the single most important topic that educators can teach their students. But, we all know that it is SO sensitive that it can be difficult to navigate and uncomfortable to teach! So, I created this presentation that is perfect for PreK-2nd graders and can be used by school counselors, teachers, mental health counselors, or parents! It teaches about three types of touch: Safe Touch, Ouch Touch, and Private Touch. It teaches students how these types of touches may make them feel, examples of each type of touch, and what to do if someone gives them an ouch or private touch. It helps students identify safe people in their lives that they trust and encourages them to go to a grown-up if they are hurt in any way. The presentation does not contain too much text and has adorable clipart on each page so it is perfect for our early readers. I have a follow-up activity for sale for $1.50 in my store (link below!) that contains 3 safe touch coloring pages - my students loved those after this presentation! I hope this lesson will be as helpful to you as it as been to me and my students! Best wishes!
