A fun way to get kids familiar with some basic laboratory safety symbols! Have the students cut along the horizontal lines going toward the blank center, and fold each flap in toward the center. Then have them describe what the symbols mean! When I taught this I had each symbol placed around the room with the description/meaning written on the back. Students then went on a scavenger hut to fill in their foldables. When finished they glued them in to their interactive journals, and used them as a reference/study aid for the rest of the year!
