This sailing/beach themed file contains 40 task cards and two bump games for reviewing decimals.
*Adding and Subtracting Decimals-Eight task cards requiring students to line up decimals through thousandths and add or subtract.
*Compare and Order Decimals-Sixteen task cards-eight cards where students identify comparisons (using >, <, or =) as true or as false-8 cards where students order four decimals through thousandths from least to greatest or greatest to least.
*Rounding Decimals-Sixteen task cards-eight cards have students rounding numbers to the nearest whole number, tenth, or hundredth. Eight cards have students looking at 4-5 decimal numbers and recording ALL (2-3) that would be 5 when rounded to the nearest whole number or 7.3 when rounded to the nearest tenth. These questions are meant to mimic the TEI questions that will be on the Virginia SOL tests-providing students with practice in selecting more than one answer.
*Decimal Bump-Also included are two fun bump games where students match decimals through thousandths in word and standard forms. Directions for playing bump are printed on the game. You simply print and laminate the two game pages, give students two dice and 20 markers (two-color counters, pennies, etc.), and the game is ready to go! Keys are provided for the bump games so that students can check their answers.
*Recording sheets and answer keys for task cards are included.
*These activities make great math centers. The task cards can easily be handed to someone who is there to pull a student or small group for remediation. The bump games are nice to have on hand for students who finish work and need a fun activity.
