St. Patrick's' Day: Saint Patrick was born in Roman Britain to a wealthy family. He was captured by Irish pirates at the age of sixteen and made a slave. For years he watched over sheep in a strange country. God told him to escape and walk to the coast. He obeyed and a ship was waiting to take him back to his hometown. Decades later he returned as a priest to the same place that made him a slave to preach good news. He started hundreds of churches and baptized thousands of people. His life was threatened many times but he didn't give up.
