Here is a fun emergent reader in French, just in time for Saint Patrick’s Day! “Finnegan le farfadet va à l’école!” features a cute leprechaun who pays a visit to a school. While there, he participates just like a student, writing on the chalkboard, putting up his hand and taking the bus. But recess arrives and Finnegan is nowhere to be found!
This package includes the book in colour, 8 ½ by 11 size. I like to print out this version, laminate and bind together to read first as a Big Book and then to add to my class library. Also included are two black and white versions. The first is the text with illustrations and the second version has the illustrations left out for students to illustrate the story. We use this book to inspire a class book and I’ve included two versions of writing paper for students to create their own page about a leprechaun who goes to school.
