This document can be used as a visual for a simple fossil activity that uses materials you likely already have at home or school. I used this in my speech and language therapy sessions in an elementary school setting with small groups. I like to read a book or an article with the group to further provide language, articulation and vocabulary opportunities. Feel free to write in the topic you talked about or book you read at the top! In addition, I've added a second page that you can use for expository writing as well.
For children working on articulation, have them go through and highlight or find words with their sounds or talk about vocabulary related to the topic of dinosaurs with their sounds. Language can be targeted in a variety of ways. Possible targets for language: requesting/commenting, related vocabulary, variety of verbs for the activity and related to dinosaurs' actions, prepositions (top, bottom, back, front, on, in), adjectives (soft, warm, sticky, wet, rough, smooth, etc.)
