Kindergarten, First Grade, Second Grade, ESL

✅ Class Activity - Using a pocket chart… Place about 6 pairs of the colored Thanksgiving graphic cards face down in the chart… 4 across in 3 rows. Demonstrate how to find cards that are the same or different. If the two cards turned up do not match… you have to turn them over again! Challenge – Increase the number of pairs used to play match-ups!

✅ Pairs Activity - Place about 6 pairs of the colored Thanksgiving graphic cards face down on the table or floor. One student will turn up two cards. If the two cards turned up are different… turn them over again! If they are the same, keep the cards that match up! Continue to play until all 6 pairs have been found. Who has the most pairs?

✅ Use the cards as story starters! What? Tell me more! When? Why? Where? How? Tell a story or write it down!
