This advanced ESL lesson includes a list of words that are both nouns and verbs. After reviewing the meaning of each word, students play the game Taboo with the words.
To play Taboo, first cut the words apart. Then, one student draws a word and describes it without using the actual word. For example, for "object (v)", he could say "this is what you can do if you don't agree with something." His teammates or partner must then try to guess the word.
It could also be used for vocabulary enrichment in a high school setting.
