This is a sample puzzle from the book “Grids for Kids: Level 1”. “Grids for Kids” is a series of e-books which encourages children to think logically by solving logic grid puzzles. Each book in the series contains 30 puzzles arranged according to five types, with six puzzles in each type. The puzzle types increase in difficulty throughout each book, and each successive book in the series adds another level of complexity.
Most importantly, each Level in the series includes a Tutorials section for selected puzzles which walk the child through the solution process. The Tutorials section has been very popular with the reviewers of our series, who find it extremely helpful in teaching young puzzle solvers.
“Grids for Kids: Level 1” begins with the basics and assumes the child has never before solved a logic grid puzzle. Each of the 30 puzzles involve three categories with three items in each category. None of the clues involve the concept of order. Those types of clues and puzzles are reserved until Level 2.
