This is a sample of the US History Full Curriculum 1877 to 2008 product.

These two lessons are on the Reconstruction Era, Presidents Johnson and Grant only.

The lesson includes a term list to provide to students so they know what to take notes on.

The lesson then contains a starter activity, notes, and a practice activity in which students organize their thoughts according to the stated objectives at the beginning of the lesson which are written in the form of "Presidency characterized by..." Links to youtube documentaries are included to enhance the lesson.

Also included is are long essay topics and short answer questions for AP US history students.

Included also are two tests, one for regular students and one for students with IEPs.

Lastly, supplemental activities are included to extend the lesson. Some of these activities contain questions for videos or articles (links included).

Each lesson begins with a starter activity to elicit prior knowledge, and introduce a main concept. A list of terms for notes is provided at the beginning of each period studied as well. You can xerox this term list to students so they know what terms to take notes on and to study. EACH SECTION BEGINNING IS MARKED BY A BLUE SLIDE.
The learning objectives are stated for each President in a statement such as – “This Presidency characterized by…”
Then, notes are given. At the end of the notes, there is either a return to objectives with a review of terms learned that day for each objective OR a graphic organizer to review terms and objectives.
Extension activities are offered to help students learn the material in different ways (videos, readings, visuals). RED SLIDE MARKS BEGINNING.
Graphic organizers are completed by students to help them organize the material in a chart of list according to the objectives and to prepare for tests. GREEN SLIDE MARKS BEGINNING.
Several long essay topics are included for AP US History students. TEAL SLIDE MARKS BEGINNING.
