Two pages of notes for students to scribble, color, doodle, draw or shade covering populations, population characteristics, samples, random samples, convenience samples, biased samples, data, data plots, box-and-whisker plots, lower quartile, upper quartile, interquartile range, outliers, measures of central tendency, and measures of variation. The scribb notes are offered in three different formats to help make differentiation easier. You can give students the full notes and allow them to scribble, color, shade, doodle, and draw on them; a second option is a fill-in the blanks note page; or use the third option which just has the titles to allow you to customize your own definitions and examples.
Scribb notes are a great way to engage students during a lesson. Students think you are allowing their creativity to shine through (and you are), but you are also increasing their focus, retention, engagement, and comprehension of the material. This is truly a win-win situation!
