Have Christmas fun while reviewing the six types of syllables. "Santa Syllable Bingo" contains 20 Santa bingo cards as follows:
4 cards with closed and vowel-consonant-e syllables
4 cards with closed/vowel-consonant-e/open syllables
4 cards with closed/vowel-consonant-e/open/consonant-le syllables
4 cards with closed/vowel-consonant-e/open/consonant-le/vowel-r syllables
4 cards with closed/vowel-consonant-e/open/consonant-le/vowel-r/vowel team syllables
Nonsense word cards for each type of syllable are also included. Just pick the types of syllables your students know, copy and laminate the appropriate bingo cards and word cards and you're ready to go. You will need bingo markers or, if you need an art project, allow the student to glue cotton balls on each circle (in this case, print the boards in black and white).
The teacher draws a card, student read the card, decide which type of syllable it is, and places a marker (or cotton ball) on a correct circle on the Santa.
The first student to fill all their circles, says "Santa Bingo!" or "Ho-Ho-Ho!"
