I am always looking festive activities that teach or reinforce a standard, keep the kids engaged and when this activity makes an A-DORABLE bulletin board it’s a win-win! Santa’s Sleigh of Synonyms gives the student an opportunity to come up with a synonym for those over-used words that creep up in their everyday writing. This set has 30 over-used words displayed on Santa’s Sleigh as well as 8 empty presents
for them to write their synonyms on. You can use this set in a variety of way. 1) give each student a different sleigh and have them come up with synonyms 2) use it as a group activity or 3) use in your class’ interactive notebooks as a reference for the whole year.
