This is a two-sided viewing & response worksheet based around Sarah Jones's engaging and challenging TED Talk, "A One Woman Global Village." Jones performs a twenty-minute series of monologues as multiple characters in order to illustrate the cultural perspectives and concerns of a variety of ethnic minorities in the United States. This is a great video and discussion-starter for units on multiculturalism, immigration, American Dream, "the melting pot," stereotypes, and similar topics.
Handout includes five areas of character details, and four questions for writing & discussion after viewing.
Link to video is included at top of worksheet, but it can also be found with a quick online search.
