Sarah, Plain and Tall was written by Patricia MacLachlan and won the 1986 Newbery Award. The book was written for use primarily in grades 3-5. If there are readers reading below grade level, this book is wonderful for use in grades 6-9 as well. This product is a novel unit study. For each chapter of the book, there is a worksheet that includes 12 to 20 vocabulary words and 7 to 10 comprehension questions. Answers for most of the comprehension questions are found in the reading; a few questions ask the reader for their opinion or to make predictions and justify their answers. Also included is a novel test and a full answer key. This unit as written is suitable for students with or without a disability.
