This activity tests students' cumulative knowledge of chapters 1 and 2 in Sarah Plain and Tall. They are to work in partners and sequence a set of events by cutting and pasting them on to a document. Afterwards (optional), they can go back and add the correct page numbers. I asked my students to do this as fast finisher practice.
The activity is differentiated for high, medium, and low. The differentiation consists of slightly different quotes/number of quotes, and partial filling out of certain spots in the timeline.
The activity was really helpful for teaching recall and sequence of events (and looking back in the text to check your answer!)
