This activity was a great way to introduce my fourth grade students to the Scientific Method!
I turned a cup upside down and put a gummy worm underneath. I then gave my students a gummy Life Saver and 4 paper clips. The students worked in pairs to put the lifesaver on Sam and place him on the top of the cup. The challenge was that the students could only use the paperclips to touch Sam, the Life Saver, and the cup.
My students really loved this activity and working together to solve this problem!
