Product Description
Challenge your students to make a difference in their community. This project has everything you will need to teach your students civic responsibility. Make government come alive for your students and give them the freedom to choose a project that interests them. This project takes students through the inquiry based learning and allows them the choice to tackle a community issue of their choice. Students brainstorm about a problem within their school, township, or city and create a solution to the problem. This project is packed with resources, tools and rubrics to successfully manage this project. I have the students present their final project to community panel for critique.

This project includes:
6 state standards
Research Paper
Presentation
Finances
Brochure
Community Contacts
Reflective essay
Checklist
Student logs and forms
21st century skills
Student samples

This project has lead my students to presentations to all forms of government in our area. In 2009, we met the governor of Ohio, built additional sidewalks in our city, and much more. This project has brought our community and schools closer together.
