This simple tool has been a "lifesaver" in my class! When my students are using the computer, working on a project or playing with a puzzle /toy and are called away from their activity, the save card works very well. Make several copies of the "Save card" and put them in baskets all around your room. When a child leaves their activity, but intends to go back to it, he/she gets a save card and places it on the activity. When the other children see the save card, they know that those materials are "off limits." It really helps the children relax when they know that their project will be "protected", and it is a great lesson on respecting other people's property as well.
