Saxon 3 Lesson 38 Extension games - Adding 3 or more digits
I use this along with Saxon Math Lesson 38, but this could easily be a stand alone lesson.
Included in this file are:
2 games to practice adding 3 or more digits
Game 1: connect four game. Students will roll either 3, 4, or 5 dice. Add them up and cover a spot. First player to get four in a row wins.
Game 2: card capture game (similar to bump) Students will draw a card. Add up the digits and cover that number on the game board. Students may capture spots previously marked by other players or if they already have the spot they can add another chip making that spot safe and can no longer be captured by another player.
