I was looking for a way to teach the Saxon morning meeting as an independent activity, so I created this template. It coincides with each Saxon lesson 101 - 110-2 (Saxon CA Third Grade Edition). I have included:
Number of the day
Mult./Div. fact families / Inverse relationship
Word Problem of the day w/ explanation lines
Pattern / explanation
Missing side perimeter / attributes of a quadrilateral
Clock (elapsed time)
I copy the Morning Math Work into a packet and give it to the students. When they walk in, they take out their packets and get started independently. This gives me time to take attendance and check homework. After about 15-20 minutes, we go over it whole class.
