First and second graders in Virginia are required to identify equal and not equal equations. The expectations look something like this: 3+4=7 is equal, but 4+5=8 is not equal.
This packet has 16 task cards (2 per page) with a recording page of 16 addition sentences. The children record their answer by coloring in the happy face if the addition sentence is equal and the sad face if the addition sentence is not equal.
Also included are 20 addition sentences to sort by equal and not equal, under given heading cards, along with a printable to choose the correct addition sentence.
