This is a template you can use when trying to reinforce the reading-writing relationship for high-frequency words. I printed these sheets and put them in plastic sheet protectors for multiple uses.
Say It : Put an index card with the word in this box.
Build It : Use magnetic letters to build the word.
Write It: Use a dry-erase marker to write the word.
To add auditory modality to the activity, I have the students say the word aloud, say each letter while they are building the word then say the word, and say each letter while writing the word then say the word.
