This group has four different types of syllable activities for your students.
The first set of pages are to be printed, laminated, and cut into fourths. You can then use them in centers or small groups over and over.
1.Students say the word.
2.Then clap the word to hear the syllable break.
3.Students use a dry erase marker to circle the number of syllables in the word.
4.Then, they will clap the word again listening for the syllable break. They then place a slash to mark the syllable break. This activity will help students hear the chunks/parts in words.
The second set of pages are a group of picture/word cards that can be used in a variety of ways during centers or small groups. You can use them for syllable sorts as a concentration game, or as a game of Go Fish.
The third set of pages is to practice cutting words into syllable breaks.
The fourth and fifth set of pages are worksheets that can be used for individual practice or homework.
