Using games can be a great way to get lots of articulation practice in a fun and engaging way. I’ve found that games similar to this one can get visually busy for some students, which may lead to frustration. I felt the need to create an adaptation using fewer visual stimuli per card.
“Say It!” contains two different card sets: one with 6 images per card (31 cards total), and one with 4 images per card (13 cards total). Choose the set you feel would best support your students’ success.
All the pictures contain the /s/ and /z/ phonemes in either the initial, medial, or final position of words. Each card pair has exactly one object in common. The cards can be used for matching games, drill, or even for progress monitoring. Enjoy!
