This is a scaffolded note page that the students fill in during a lecture or lesson. I have the students fold it in half and glue it in their math journals. It covers:
- definition of the two shapes;
- important features (like the height's relationship to the base);
- a space to write the formula to find area;
- how to show steps for using a formula.
