I teach in inclusion classrooms with special education students,
students in an early intervention program and proficient learners. This activity was created for the standard: Subtracting and regrouping within one hundred using place value models. (2.NBT.5) I also have included a game board for students that will be using the regular algorithm to add and subtract.
There are different sets of cards that are designed to scaffold the standard. I created this activity to support students that are struggling in math. I teach this activity in a small group and then place it in my math workshop centers. You can differentiate this activity by limiting the amount of sets of cards that a student will manipulate at one time. Hope you enjoy the activity!
