Students will get the chance to practice their scale drawing skills with a fun project. Each student will get a quarter piece of paper with the requirements. Students must take a candy bar wrapper and increase the scale of each measurement and then re-draw the enlarged image on a poster board. Students must turn in their calculation sheet and add color to their project.
I've included a few candy bar wrappers that you can use to get the students started and then draw the enlarged image from those dimensions on the paper or you could require students to buy their own candy bar and use those dimensions from the wrapper to do their project.
Encourage students to choose a "large" scale so that when drawing it on the poster board it is easier to see.
Remember EVERY measurement on that wrapper needs to be scaled correctly, each letter, each number...find the actual measurement of it and then apply the scale to it.
