**Updated** - Now with how to pics!!!
This is editable and includes both the scale factor (enlargement) as well as reduction.
This includes the project details to a scale drawing project that I created for my middle grade math students. The students are to pic a picture and create a scale drawing using the picture the have chosen. We found magazine pictures to pick out our favorites! Afterward, copy the picture and have the students create grid lines on the paper, that will work out with the appropriate scale they have chosen. Draw the same grid lines on large poster type paper (LIGHTLY with pencil). The students can then use the idea of the boxes to help them draw the outside lines of the shape of the item that they are drawing. Afterward, I had the kids color their drawings. It was so fun and they learned so much about equivalent ratios!
