My students and I love to read in the fall! After all, squirrels tend to be very active during this time of year! Once students and I read this silly book, we do a craftivity.
I tend to do a four day mini unit including main idea, text to self, and opinion, with the fourth day being our craft! I have included writing prompts for each day, including a few blank pages.
Students get to make their own scaredy squirrel for their craft! There are two options for this craft. One option is to have a simple coloring sheet. In the other option, students have fun cutting out and putting their squirrel together! They make for a great bulletin board!
