This is Scary Good Writing tool 13: Revision.
A writer should always revise his writing to make it the best that it can be, but sometimes in a school environment like say during an assessment test students don’t have the time to properly revise their narrative essay. That’s why we focus on a few key things to look for when you are revising a narrative essay such as passive voice, words and phrases that mean the same thing, unnecessary adverbs, repetitive words, and substituting weak verbs for action verbs. By looking for simple-to-catch mistakes, students can quickly edit their essays and improve them.
