Vocal Explorations: Vocal explorations are a great way to warm-up your students voices and explore their ranges! They work great for any age. Little kids love following and leading them, while older kids can benefit from something new in their routine.
These are jazz vocal explorations introducing the use of scat syllables! They work great for Jazz Appreciation Month in April or any time you are looking to add some fun to your jazz lessons. Three children's books are recommended in this file to introduce and enhance the learning experience of jazz and scat singing for your students!
This file contains:
-Scat syllable examples
-Five (5) slides for vocal exploration, featuring pathways with different scat syllables
-Five (5) slides to add your own scat syllables. Pathways are already drawn.
-Five (5) slides without the lines or syllables drawn to project onto a variety of boards (white, marker, SMART, etc.). These allow you to draw your own pathway or let your students create!
-Two (2) student composition worksheets to allow students the chance to create and share their own scat vocal exploration.
