This is my version of "Scattergories," a list-making game that allows students to practice vocabulary as well as process cultural information in the target language (Portuguese).
To play: divide your classroom into teams. Depending on their level, you probably want to limit teams to 3-5 players. At the start of each round, each time should be given the same card.
Then pick a single letter of the alphabet (there are apps you can download for free with this function). Teams then have a certain amount of time (suggestion: 3-4 minutes) to come up with words beginning with the correct letter in each category on the card. Successful teams each earn one point category per round.
