This is like the game Scattegories, where students compete in groups to come up with the best list. Put a random letter on the board and students need to come up with words that fit each category that begin with that letter. After you call time (about 3 minutes), you have the students compare their answers. Anyone with duplicate answers has to cross that off. When you finish comparing, each group counts up their points. Extra points go for double and triple letters; for example, if the letter is S, and the category is desserts, then the group that said Strawberry Sundae gets two points. Kids love this game!
