Players are given a number of seeds to share fairly among their chickens. Any left over seed is placed in the ‘remaining seed’ box. For example: If a player has the Fair Share (between two) board and is given five pieces of seed then he or she would give each chicken on the board two pieces of seed before placing the leftover seed in the ‘remaining seed’ box. Students have the option to write the division sum including remainders.
Scatter the Seed aims to assist students in their understanding of early division.
