This game is ideal for upper level students who have learned the names of various categories of food (dairy products, seasonings, meat products, poultry, etc). To play the game in small groups, a student picks a letter or rolls a letter die. Then the students have 2-3 minutes to come up with an item from each shop that starts with that letter.
For example, if the letter is P, a student may choose "poisson" for "fruits de mer" and "peche" for "fruits" and "poivre" for "asaissonments."
After the time is up, students compare answers. If two students have the SAME answer, they earn zero points. If a student has an original, logical answer, he/she earns one point.
