The idea behind this game is to name as many items from the category as possible in a set time limit, such as 30 seconds or 1 minute. Then the answers are compared to other groups and duplicate answers are eliminated. The group with the most original answers wins that many points. Rules are based on the popular Milton Bradley game of Scattergories (also a fun game to play for inside recess or with spelling words).
I first saw this game used in a Spanish class for review of verbs, nouns, and other parts of speech. I wanted to use it for a preassessment before teaching certain science or social studies units. Enjoy this freebie!
