Inquiry-based lesson to teach 12 vocabulary words essential for understanding scatterplots. Given pictures, a word bank of terms and definitions are provided so students can connect the dots on their own. The back of the sheet has some direct and open ended vocabulary application questions so students solidify their understanding.
You can do this activity in a variety of ways. I printed several copies of the bank of words & definition and handed a copy to each table, and each student received a worksheet.
Enjoy this activity! My students of all levels could easily access this activity. It is student centered and makes learning vocabulary fun. An answer key is provided.
