Scavenger Hunt: 1 Step Equations with Integers, Fractions, and Decimals
-16 Questions. Takes about 30 - 45 Minutes.
-Can be done individually, in partners, and in groups.
-Great to get students up and moving around the room!
-This activity is self-checking, so it frees the teacher up to help students who are struggling.
I included an answer sheet that students can show their work and record solutions on. Alternatively, students can record answers in their math journals.
I created this scavenger hunt for my 7th graders to review one step equations with fractions, decimals, and integers. My students LOVED the llama clip art from Best Teacher Tools.
How to use this: Hang the 16 questions around the room. Have each pair or students start at a different questions. When they find the correct answer, they should find it around the room and complete that problem. When students return to their original stations, they are done.
