From Louvre At First Sight: A fun photography assignment that will get students' creative juices going! Have students learn how to use their cameras while taking photos at school during class or at home. Use it as an introductory task or a competitive game. Have students present 2-3 of their favorites to the class. Give points or prizes to the most creative images.
Combine this lesson with my “Photography Equipment Checklist and Responsibilities” and “Images in our World” to create an introductory unit that covers the four art processes: Creating, Presenting, Responding, and Connecting. An excellent choice if you don’t have enough cameras and need to rotate students through a photography unit.
